Job Title: Utility Worker Job Description

The Utility Worker will be a vital part of the receiving department, responsible for loading and unloading containers by hand. This role requires precision and attention to detail to ensure the efficient processing of orders.

• Process orders according to priority set by the Group Lead to meet customer requirements.
• Receive, pick, package, and label shipments according to the Distribution SOP.
• Use a picking cart or powered industrial truck to locate materials and fulfill orders.
• Complete paper documentation requirements for packing and shipping hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain good housekeeping and keep inventory neat, clean, and orderly.
• Complete paper documentation requirements as outlined by Distribution SOPs.
• Verify proper storage conditions of products and notify the supervisor of any inventory issues such as Can't Finds, Expired Products, Breakage, and Out-Of-Stocks.

• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently and possess problem-solving abilities.
• Physical ability to constantly stand and move around the department.
• Frequent walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
• Strength to lift, carry, pull, and push up to 40-50 lbs frequently and 75 lbs occasionally.

• Experience with palletizing, shipping, and receiving.
• Familiarity with packing, picking, and shipping processes.
• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Willingness to stay until all orders are processed.
• General warehouse experience preferred, especially in packaging.

The position is based in a distribution center for scientific equipment, with most items destined for science rooms in schools, hospitals, or medical labs. The facility operates with a team of approximately 120 employees, divided into receiving, picking, and shipping departments. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nazareth, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Nazareth,PA.
