Overview: Stevedore/Dock Worker
We are currently seeking Stevedore Ground Operator/ Dock Worker to join our team. As a Stevedore Ground Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading materials in and outside of the ships, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting.
Location: Detroit/ Ecorse, Michigan
Pay: $18.00-$19.00
Duties:
- Unload and load cement bags, including receiving, storing, and distributing of other products
- Ensure OSHA compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy of orders
- Operate clamp trucks, to load and unload materials
- Conduct order picking and packing as needed
Skills:
- Ability to lift heavy bags for 10+ hours
Felony friendly
Steel Toe shoes are required
